Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director Product Manager with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA FICO to lead enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong functional and technical knowledge across SAP Finance and Controlling modules, along with proven leadership experience managing large-scale ERP implementations, S/4HANA migrations, cutovers, and post-go-live support.
This role requires a strong understanding of corporate finance processes, ERP transformation programs, stakeholder management, and enterprise application support in mission-critical environments. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, finance teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable SAP solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP Transformation & Delivery
· Lead and manage SAP S/4HANA FICO implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support initiatives.
· Drive large-scale modernization and digital transformation programs from initial design through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
· Lead SAP cutover planning, execution, rollback/fallback strategies, and contingency readiness.
· Oversee master data and transactional data migration activities during ERP transformation projects.
· Ensure successful go-live support and hyper care management for enterprise-wide deployments.
Product & Program Leadership
· Collaborate with finance, accounting, operations, and executive leadership teams to define product strategy and roadmap.
· Translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions and operational improvements.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance business processes and ERP support operations.
· Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders across multiple project streams.
SAP FICO Functional Expertise
· Provide deep functional expertise in:
o General Ledger (GL)
o Accounts Payable (AP)
o Accounts Receivable (AR)
o Asset Accounting (AA)
o Financial Closing Processes
o Budgeting and Statutory Reporting
· Ensure finance process alignment with enterprise governance and compliance standards.
Operational Support & Governance
· Ensure application support readiness for:
o Go-live and hyper care
o Month-end and quarter-end financial close
o Business continuity and issue resolution
· Lead incident, problem, and change management activities with a strong focus on root-cause analysis and resolution.
· Oversee L2/L3 ERP application support in large, mission-critical environments.
· Monitor system performance, operational risks, and support KPIs to maintain business continuity.
Required Qualifications
· 14+ years of experience working with SAP ERP platforms including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
· Strong expertise in SAP FICO modules and enterprise finance processes.
· Proven experience leading ERP cutovers, enterprise go-lives, and hyper care activities.
· Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA migration programs.
· Extensive experience in SAP implementation, support, testing, and upgrade projects.
· Strong understanding of financial operations, budgeting, and statutory reporting requirements.
· Demonstrated experience leading large-scale enterprise application support teams.
· Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in large enterprise or global environments.
· SAP certification in FICO or S/4HANA Finance preferred.
· Experience with finance transformation and process optimization initiatives.
· Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, or enterprise delivery frameworks is a plus.
