DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for a diverse and talented Application Systems Technician to join our Information Technology Team. The Application Systems Technician provides setup, maintenance, and support for application software, hardware infrastructure, and connectivity to shop floor CNC machines. This support will ensure accessibility, reliability, and change control in support of business users. The Application Systems Technician will travel monthly to support sites across the United States, including Puerto Rico! This position is a great opportunity for recent IT graduates and entry level application developers, who have IT support experience.
DUTIES
  • Work is completed on a Manufacturing Shop floor with CNC machines.
  • Provide administrative support to centralized machines on the network.
  • Train and learn shop floor software applications.
  • Install and validate application software on Microsoft/SQL Application and Database servers.
  • Implement Patches and Upgrades to existing software.
  • Execute automation scripting.
  • Interact with diverse end-users and coach users as needed.
  • Communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people.

ADDITIONAL
  • Shop floor experience with CNC machines is nice to have.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication.

SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT
  • Manufacturing Shop Floor environment.
  • Will train on 1st shift for 3 months.
  • After 3-month training will work a 3rd shift schedule.
  • Ability to interact with divers populations.
  • Ability to translate technical terms to non-technical users.

This is a Contract position based out of Warsaw, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.00/hr.
