Job Summary:
Principal Architect responsible for enterprise architecture across workforce identity (B2E), customer identity (B2C), end user computing (EUC), collaboration platforms, and Zero Trust security. The role defines architecture strategy, standards, governance models, and modernization roadmaps while ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable platform implementations across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own enterprise architecture for identity platforms, EUC environments, collaboration platforms, and Zero Trust architecture.
- Define current-state and future-state architecture models and technology roadmaps.
- Establish architecture principles, design standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
- Review and approve solution designs and manage architectural decision governance.
- Implement architecture exception management processes with documentation and risk review.
- Define integration approaches for identity services, device posture validation, and collaboration access controls.
- Align architecture standards with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices including build, test, validation, and deployment.
- Integrate architecture work into work management platforms such as Jira using epics, stories, and tasks.
- Maintain architecture documentation and knowledge repositories using Confluence or equivalent platforms.
- Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, and product teams to ensure secure and scalable solutions.
- Lead technology modernization, legacy retirement, interoperability improvements, and technical debt reduction.
- Mentor architects and senior engineers and communicate architecture strategy to technical and executive stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in enterprise architecture, principal architecture, or senior solution architecture roles.
- Strong experience defining enterprise architecture strategy, governance frameworks, and technology standards.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Technical Expertise
Identity & Access Management
- Enterprise identity platforms including Active Directory and modern cloud identity services.
- Identity protocols: SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, directory services.
- Architecture design for workforce identity (B2E) and customer identity (B2C).
- Identity governance, risk segmentation, and scalable identity ecosystems.
End User Computing (EUC)
- Endpoint management strategy and device architecture design.
- Modern endpoint management platforms and device policy enforcement.
- Device trust, compliance models, and identity-driven access aligned with Zero Trust.
Collaboration Platforms
- Architecture and governance of enterprise collaboration services.
- Integration with identity lifecycle management and access control frameworks.
- Platform configuration standards and access management models.
Zero Trust Security
- Knowledge of identity-centric security, least privilege access, and continuous verification.
- Collaboration with cybersecurity teams to align architecture with enterprise risk and security posture.
Architecture Governance & Tools
- Architecture standards, reference architectures, and architecture decision records.
- Documentation platforms such as Confluence.
- Work management tools such as Jira.
- Architecture governance aligned with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps delivery practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in identity management, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, endpoint management, or enterprise architecture.
- Experience leading architecture across large global environments and multiple business domains.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise modernization and standardization initiatives
