Lockheed Martin Space will be hosting an invitation only in-person Hiring Event in King of Prussia, PA in June. To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for Level 2-5 DevSecOps Engineer candidates that have at least 5 years of related experience and possess -- or have the ability to obtain -- a government Top Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility and oftentimes a CI poly (U.S. citizenship required).

As a Dev Sec Ops / Software Engineer, you will support Lockheed Martin Space operations by:

Generating and simulating operational level plans to explore the art of the possible in defense of the ultimate high ground in a future space war
Dynamically optimizing both terrestrial and space-based sensors to provide comprehensive space domain awareness
Strategically optimizing the placement and maneuvering of constellations of satellites to satisfy multiple, evolving priorities

Our team leverages industry standard open-source software solutions such as GitLab, Kubernetes and Docker. Our automation-first and "everything as code" / "infrastructure as code" mindset allows our team to focus their time and efforts on what is most important - building cutting edge, secure functionality for our end users.

The successful candidate should possess a strong / comprehensive understanding of most all of the following:

Strong Technical Expertise: Proficient in coding, scripting, and automation tools. Knowledgeable in cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and tools. Familiar with threat modeling, risk assessment techniques, and security testing tools.

Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work closely with development, operations, and security teams. Excellent communication skills to articulate security concerns and solutions effectively.

Continuous Learning: Stays updated with the latest security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends. Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify and solve security and operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.

Automation Mindset: Leverages automation to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines efficiently. Familiar with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and automated security testing tools.

Risk Management: Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage security risks in alignment with business objectives.

Compliance and Governance: Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to information security. Ensures that DevSecOps practices comply with these standards.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $97,100 - $171,235. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $111,700 - $193,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
