Role: Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract-To-Hire

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Power Platform to develop advanced dashboards, optimize data models, and deliver actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead technical delivery while mentoring BI developers and analysts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize complex Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX, data modeling, Row-Level Security (RLS), and performance tuning.
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures; design database tables and star schemas.
  • Integrate Power BI with SQL Server, AWS, Cloudera, and SharePoint.
  • Build solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint integration.
  • Gather business requirements, explain reporting logic, and translate business needs into actionable insights.
  • Mentor BI developers and analysts while independently managing deliverables and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 811+ years of experience.
  • Advanced Power BI, DAX, data modeling, RLS, and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong SQL, SQL Server, complex queries, and stored procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
  • Data integration across multiple platforms, including SQL Server, AWS, and Cloudera.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
  • Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, agentic AI, or AI-enabled Power Platform solutions.
  • Experience with MicroStrategy or Tableau.
  • Healthcare payer industry experience.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Power BI, SQL, or AWS certifications.
