Description:

 


Position Overview:
The Lead Recruiter will lead high-volume recruiting efforts for manufacturing operations while providing workforce insights, hiring analytics, and staffing visibility to plant leadership. This role will own recruiting metrics, track hiring progress against staffing goals, maintain candidate pipelines, and provide regular reporting on hiring performance, trends, and challenges. The Lead Recruiter will partner closely with HR and Operations leadership to ensure workforce readiness for production demands, including new shift launches and workforce expansions.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for high-volume hourly manufacturing positions, including General Assembly Production Associates, Material Handlers, Skilled Trades, and other plant operations roles. Manage sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer extension, and onboarding coordination.
Own recruiting metrics and workforce reporting, including:
Hiring plan progress
Open requisition status
Candidate pipeline activity
Interview activity and conversion rates
Offer acceptance rates
Time-to-fill and time-to-start metrics
New hire onboarding completion
Attrition trends impacting staffing needs
Develop and maintain recruiting dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, and other workforce analytics tools to provide leadership visibility into staffing performance, hiring trends, gaps, and risks.
Provide weekly and monthly hiring updates to HR and Operations leadership, including staffing progress, hiring challenges, pipeline health, and recommended actions to achieve production staffing targets.
Partner with Operations leaders and HR Business Partners to understand workforce requirements, forecast hiring needs, and develop recruiting strategies aligned with production schedules and business priorities.
Support 2nd shift launch and workforce ramp activities, including developing recruiting plans, managing hiring timelines, coordinating hiring events, and ensuring staffing readiness prior to production startup.
Build and maintain candidate pipelines through:
Community recruiting partnerships
Job fairs
Hiring events
Workforce development programs
Online sourcing strategies
Employee referral programs
Serve as the recruiting subject matter expert for manufacturing hiring strategies, candidate attraction, market trends, and employment branding.
Track recruiting effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve hiring processes, candidate experience, onboarding readiness, and retention outcomes.
Partner with HR and hiring leaders to ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
Maintain accurate recruiting data within SAP SuccessFactors, including requisitions, candidate activity, offer status, onboarding actions, and reporting requirements.
Prepare executive-level presentations and workforce updates using Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate recruiting performance, staffing risks, and hiring priorities.
Utilize Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced) to analyze recruiting data using Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, reporting tools, and data validation techniques.
Support workforce planning activities by analyzing hiring trends, turnover impacts, and staffing requirements to ensure production continuity.

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of Talent Acquisition or Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing, automotive, warehouse, or high-volume production environment.
Demonstrated experience recruiting high-volume hourly manufacturing employees, including:
Production Associates
General Assembly Team Members
Material Handlers
Warehouse Operators
Skilled Trades positions
Experience managing recruiting metrics, dashboards, hiring reports, and executive workforce updates.
Strong understanding of manufacturing recruiting strategies, workforce planning, sourcing techniques, and candidate pipeline development.
Experience supporting multi-shift manufacturing operations, including production launches, workforce ramps, and staffing events.
Experience planning and executing job fairs, hiring events, and community recruiting initiatives.
Power BI dashboard development and recruiting analytics experience preferred.
SAP SuccessFactors recruiting experience preferred.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate management tools preferred.
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule Flexibility Required:
Hours may vary based on business needs. Must be willing to adjust schedule to support the 2nd shift launch, including potential schedule changes. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to support manufacturing operations, including 2nd shift launch activities, evening hiring events, onboarding sessions, and production ramp periods as business needs require.
