We are seeking a seasoned General Superintendent to provide leadership across multiple active construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, driving safety and quality standards, mentoring field leadership, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with contractual and schedule requirements.

Job Details

The General Superintendent is accountable for the overall execution of field operations across assigned projects. This role provides direction to project superintendents and field teams while partnering closely with project management, safety, and executive leadership to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide overall leadership and direction for all on-site construction activities across multiple projects
Champion jobsite safety, enforce compliance, and proactively identify and mitigate risk
Lead, mentor, and develop superintendents and field staff
Oversee project scheduling, sequencing, logistics, and manpower planning
Ensure adherence to contract documents, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate with project management to resolve field issues without disrupting workflow
Lead subcontractor coordination, jobsite meetings, and field communications
Monitor quality control and ensure work is installed in accordance with approved submittals
Review progress, productivity, and performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
Maintain strong client relationships through professionalism, transparency, and accountability
Support preconstruction and planning efforts when applicable

Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive field leadership experience in commercial construction
Proven experience leading multiple superintendents and complex projects simultaneously
Deep understanding of construction means and methods across multiple trades
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and quality control practices
Ability to read, interpret, and enforce construction documents
Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
Proficiency with construction technology and field reporting tools
Ability to lead by example and foster a culture of accountability and respect
