Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern, scalable test automation frameworks across a complex, cloud-native environment.
This role goes beyond traditional QA you ll drive AI-powered test automation, integrate with cloud and DevOps pipelines, and ensure quality is built into every stage of the software lifecycle.
You ll work closely with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to enable high-quality, resilient, and production-ready systems.
What You ll Do
Automation Framework Engineering
- Design and build end-to-end automation frameworks covering APIs, integrations, and data validation
- Develop robust integration and regression test suites for distributed and event-driven systems
- Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture, data flows, and dependencies
- Automate functional and event-driven test scenarios using Playwright, PyTest, TestNG, and similar tools
- Support modernization efforts by ensuring strong automation coverage across evolving architectures
AI-Driven Test Innovation
- Leverage GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, LLM-based agents) to accelerate test development and analysis
- Integrate AI for:
- automated test generation
- failure analysis and triage
- test documentation
- Experiment with autonomous testing agents and intelligent test orchestration
- Drive adoption of AI-enhanced quality engineering practices across teams
Cloud & DevOps Integration
- Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity)
- Deploy and manage test environments on AWS (EKS, Lambda, SQS, Glue, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL)
- Implement test observability and telemetry to monitor pipeline health and coverage
- Partner with DevOps teams to ensure scalable, consistent, and reliable environments
Agile Collaboration & Leadership
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and align testing with development goals
- Mentor engineers on automation best practices and modern frameworks
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to embed quality from the start
- Champion a quality-first mindset with continuous testing and automation

What We re Looking For
- Strong experience in test automation and quality engineering within enterprise environments
- Expertise in Playwright and API automation frameworks
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#
- Experience testing microservices and event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to GenAI tools for automation productivity and innovation
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
