An opportunity is available to join a Global Information Security (GIS) team as a Big Data Developer/Engineer. This role is part of a supportive community focused on delivering optimal experiences. The position requires a candidate who can work onsite five days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Near-Real Time and Batch Data Pipelines through the end-to-end design and build process.
- Ingest data from sources such as message queues, file shares, REST APIs, and relational databases.
- Handle various data formats including JSON, CSV, and XML.
- Work with SPARK Structured Streaming for data processing.
- Tune performance for Spark, MapReduce, or SQL jobs to ensure efficiency.
- Utilize source code and version control systems like Git and Bit Bucket.
- Collaborate with a team of diverse skill sets within an Agile development process.
- Work with Jenkins for continuous integration and manage JAR dependencies.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in SQL, with experience in MySQL, HIVE, Impala, or SPARK SQL.
- Experience with Hadoop/Big Data and Distributed Systems.
- Working knowledge of Spark, Sqoop, Kafka, MapReduce, and NoSQL databases like HBase or SOLR.
- Familiarity with CDP, HDP, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Elastic Search, or Kibana.
- Hands-on programming experience in Scala, Python, PHP, or Shell Scripting.
- Proficiency with the Linux operating system.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
