Applied Scientist II

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client that is seeking an Applied Scientist II in New York, NY.

Summary:
Applied Scientists are specialists with deep expertise in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics.

In the MGM+ context, they apply scientific principles to enhance content performance, audience engagement, and strategic decision-making by:
* Assessing the feasibility and timeline of new data science initiatives that drive content acquisition, programming strategy, and subscriber growth through significant algorithmic innovations
* Developing new algorithms or enhancing existing models to optimize content recommendations, predict viewership patterns, analyze social media sentiment, forecast subscriber behavior, and measure promotional campaign effectiveness
* Leveraging entertainment industry data-including streaming metrics, content metadata, audience demographics, and competitive intelligence-to deliver actionable insights that improve the MGM+ customer experience and business impact

REQUIREMENTS:
* Years of Experience: 4-8
* Forecast/modeling knowledge (how to predict consumer behavior)
* Customer cohort analysis
* Able to operate in ambiguity
* SQL, ETL, Excel/VBA, Python, Quick Suite, Generative AI
* Media/entertainment experience a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
