Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Hardware Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for owning the full product development lifecycle across multiple products—from initial proof-of-concept through production. The ideal candidate will be located in the SF Bay Area, have strong expertise in RF PCB design, board bring up, testing, and manufacturing support, and will thrive in both independent and collaborative, distributed team environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end hardware product development cycle for multiple products
Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) studies to validate design approaches
Design and develop complex RF printed circuit boards (PCBs)
Execute engineering validation testing (EVT), design validation testing (DVT), and production validation testing (PVT)
Perform regulatory compliance testing and ensure adherence to industry standards
Collaborate with contract manufacturers to support production, including troubleshooting and failure analysis
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues throughout development and production phases
Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams in a distributed environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field
6+ years of professional experience in hardware engineering
Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., OrCAD, Allegro, PADS, or similar)
Strong understanding of core electrical engineering principles
Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
