The Human Engineering Human Factors team works closely with many teams around the company to conduct human centered research and create actionable insights to inform product decisions. \nResponsibilities include:\nApplying Human Factors Engineering (HFE) techniques and principles at all phases of product/technology development\nExercising independent judgment in the development of study methodology, data collection efforts, data analysis, conclusions, and design recommendations\nDeveloping user study criteria and detailed methodology for widely varied projects, spanning from formative to evaluative, and qualitative to quantitative\nConducting user-centered research and evaluation on a diverse user population, and utilizing experimental data and scientific publications\nConducting statistical and qualitative analyses of data and providing clear and concise feedback to teams in a timely manner\nCollaborating cross-functionally with design, engineering, and product development groups.\nMaintaining an active working knowledge of worldwide human factors publications and standards\n
Expertise in creating thorough experimental designs, utilizing scientific methods\nMixed methods expertise to combine quantitative and qualitative research approaches\nRelevant, proven experience in human factors and/or consumer product usability evaluation\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, patience, and aesthetic sensibility\n4+ years industry experience in Human Factors or User Experience Research\nMaster's degree or higher required with a concentration or extensive work in human factors, industrial engineering, cognitive engineering, human-computer interaction, or experimental psychology.\n
Ability to customize data collection tools, as well as manipulate, analyze and visualize outputs\nExperience with scripting/programming for data manipulation and research applications (e.g., R, Matlab, Python)\nExpertise in interview techniques related to product use\nExperience in cognitive engineering (work/task analysis, information processing)\nExperience with human factors engagement through various stages of the product life cycle, including foundational, formative, and evaluative stages\nExperience leveraging AI tools to support research workflows, including study design, analysis, and insights synthesis\n6+ years industry experience in Human Factors or User Experience Research\n
