Entry Level Technician I - Job DescriptionTop Skills (Required)- Entry-level experience or completion of a low-voltage trade school program

Secondary Skills (Nice to Have)- Prior experience in cabling, telecom, or low-voltage environments
- Familiarity with data center environments
Primary ResponsibilitiesCore Duties- Pull and route cable according to project specifications
- Assist Cable Technician II and follow direction from senior team members
- Run and handle materials throughout the job site
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Climb ladders and work in elevated areas
Installation Tasks- Layout and install wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and related devices
- Build and outfit telecom closets, including:
- Mounting backboards
- Installing cross-connects, racks, patch panels, and fiber hardware
- Installing grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling
- Complete IDC terminations (110/66 blocks, patch panels)
- Pull wire and/or oversee conduit installation and wire pulling
- Operate two-handed tools such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jackhammers
Tools RequiredCandidates must possess and be proficient with:
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Drywall saw
- Torpedo level
- Tape measure
- Snips with belt sheath
- Needle-nose and channel-lock pliers
- Hammer
- Cable stripper
- Flashlight
- Work gloves
Additional Requirements- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work long shifts and maintain productivity

Work Environment- On-site at the FluidStack Data Center in Barker, NY
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 5:45 PM, with ramp-up to 5 days/week, 10-hour shifts
- PPE required: steel-toe boots, safety vest, gloves, safety glasses (PPE provided by IES except boots)

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
