Job DescriptionYou will be the Cyber Systems Security Engineer Staff for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) - F-22 CNI Crypto Team which is responsible for leading the development, integration, and sustainment of cryptographic hardware across the F-22 platform.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Cyber Systems Security Engineer Staff you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end engineering of the F-22 CNI Crypto portfolio. You will work closely with CNI, Racks, DHM, CM, DM, NSA, and F-22 SPO partners to ensure secure, certified solutions that meet mission requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:- Lead engineering development and integration of the full F-22 CNI Crypto hardware suite.
- Provide technical training and SME oversight for existing and planned cryptographic systems.
- Represent the F-22 CNI team with Lockheed Martin management, NSA, and customer counterparts.
- Approve technical inputs for proposals, basis-of-estimate (BoE) documents, and technical evaluations.
- Manage the complete product life-cycle, from design and configuration through sustainment and field support.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Extensive experience with the Security Evaluation Requirements Document (SERD) for cryptographic solutions deployed on fighter aircraft or other defense platforms - direct responsibility for, reviewing, validating, and authoring derivative requirements from SERD content.
Knowledge of cryptographic system architecture (key management, secure boot, hardware security modules, encryption/decryption pipelines, and compliance with NSA/CNSS standards).
Development of technical proposals and bid packages for cryptographic equipment, encompassing cost estimation, schedule integration, and integration verification plans that have been accepted by senior acquisition leadership.
Desired skills Experience creating, reviewing and evaluating Basis of Estimates for technical accuracy and completeness for F-22 aircraft capabilities.
Experience working in an aerospace design environment (e.g. F-22 Program) with exposure to DoD customers and their accrediting authorities.
Experience analyzing, decomposing, and allocating SERD, waveform and other CNI
capability documents into executable crypto hardware requirements at the , sub-
system and component level
Experience developing security architecture representations (e.g. Accreditation Boundaries, Physical Diagrams, Logical Diagrams, Functional Diagrams), , as well as requirements management
Effective at documenting findings and communicating risks to technical and non-
technical stakeholders.
Experience with generating Basis of Estimates (BoEs).
Proficient in translating high-level security objectives into actionable, testable
requirements to ensure complete contract scope coverage and high-quality delivery.
Deep understanding of industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and emerging
threats to inform secure design and implementation.
Strong collaboration skills with engineering and product teams to embed modern.
security practices into development workflows.
Proven ability to mentor and train technical staff at all levels through structured programs, workshops, and technical documentation.
Recognized as a subject matter expert who fosters a culture of continuous learning
and security excellence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record in supplier management for cryptographic hardware/software, including qualification, risk assessment, performance verification, and lifecycle sustainment of classified suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to derive, prioritize, and translate high level security objectives into detailed, testable requirement sets that align with mission critical aircraft programs.

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
