Location: Dallas, TX - Hybrid - 3 - 4 days onsite per week
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
 
Job Description
We are seeking an MDM Engineer / Analyst to support Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, and data governance initiatives. The role focuses on data profiling, match and merge rules, survivorship logic, root-cause analysis, and data integration across multiple source systems to maintain accurate and consistent master data.
 
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, including 2+ years in Master Data Management (MDM) or data quality.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including hands-on data profiling and reconciliation.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience with an MDM platform; Ab Initio is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, ETL, REST API development, OLAP, and data tracking best practices.
  • Experience defining and tuning match, merge, deduplication, and survivorship rules.
  • Experience investigating data anomalies, duplicates, false merges, and data quality issues.
  • Experience documenting data mappings, requirements, data lineage, and acceptance tests.
  • Ability to collaborate with business users, data stewards, ETL developers, DBAs, and data architects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented Agile environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Denodo.
  • Big data experience with Hadoop or MongoDB.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms.
  • Experience in regulated industries.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports for data quality, MDM performance, and stewardship metrics.
