Summary

Audio Visual Systems Program Manager

Introduction:

We are seeking a mid-level Program Manager with audiovisual (AV) systems experience to provide program-level oversight, coordination, and governance of AV initiatives across District facilities. The selected candidate will manage schedules, vendors, priorities, and reporting for AV initiatives to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with District standards and operational needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide program-level leadership for multiple AV initiatives across facilities
  • Coordinate and align related AV efforts to ensure consistency with program objectives, timelines, and available funding
  • Develop and maintain high-level program plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk tracking
  • Provide oversight and direction for AV initiatives in various areas such as classroom instructional technology, conference room and meeting space AV, video conferencing and hybrid collaboration systems, and digital signage and presentation systems
  • Coordinate work among internal teams, facilities staff, vendors, and AV integrators
  • Ensure AV initiatives comply with organizational policies, cybersecurity requirements, accessibility standards, and operational guidelines
  • Prepare consolidated program-level status reports, metrics, and briefings for leadership
  • Support transition of completed AV systems to operations and support teams

Requirements:

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Experience equivalent to a mid-level Program Manager (approximately 6–10 years)
  • Proven experience overseeing multiple related initiatives within a technology, AV, or infrastructure program
  • Demonstrated experience managing AV, IT, or technology programs in complex environments
  • Strong ability to coordinate vendors and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of AV systems at a program and integration level
  • Experience managing schedules, reporting, documentation, and deliverables across multiple workstreams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies in active operational environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting AV programs in schools, government agencies, or large institutional environments
  • Experience coordinating AV work alongside construction, renovation, or facilities programs
  • Familiarity with enterprise collaboration platforms and classroom technology standards
  • PMP certification or formal program management training

Work Conditions:

  • Primary work location is onsite at designated facilities; limited telework may be permitted per organizational policy
  • Standard schedule is 40 hours per week
  • Occasional off-hours work may be required for coordinated deployments or system cutovers
