What's In Store For You:

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a W2-only engagement. The role is based onsite four days per week in Charlotte, NC, with preference for local candidates who can collaborate closely with business partners, technology teams, and delivery stakeholders. The position offers the opportunity to support enterprise application development, Azure-based delivery, process automation, integrations, and technical improvement initiatives within a highly visible business environment.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support application processes that improve business workflows and technology delivery.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to identify process improvement, automation, and integration opportunities.
  • Build and maintain solutions using Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD practices, and modern SDLC standards.
  • Develop and support integrations using data exchange formats such as JSON, XML, and EDI.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for application code, system processes, and audit support.
  • Troubleshoot testing issues, diagnose defects, and support system reliability across application environments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Support production needs through rotational on-call, maintenance activities, and issue resolution as required.
  • Contribute reusable components, standards, and best practices to help improve delivery consistency across teams.

Are you an experienced application development engineer ready to make an impact?
  • 5+ years of Agile delivery experience within a matrixed organization.
  • 5+ years of SDLC and CI/CD experience, including tools, frameworks, and engineering best practices.
  • 5+ years of Microsoft Azure development experience.
  • 3+ years of Azure DevOps pipeline or operational experience.
  • 3+ years of domain-specific framework development experience.
  • 5+ years of data integration and exchange framework experience, including JSON, XML, and EDI.
  • Hands-on experience developing in lower-level or enterprise programming languages such as Java, C#, or .NET.
  • Strong understanding of data, integrations, application configuration, testing, and process design.
  • Ability to work closely with security, delivery, and business teams to apply secure development and implementation practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to guide adoption of standards, reusable components, and best practices across Agile delivery teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant domain technology certification preferred.
