## Job Summary

We are seeking a **Senior Generative AI Lead / Principal Engineer** with 15+ years of software engineering experience and strong hands-on expertise in **Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and cloud-native architectures**.

This is a **hands-on technical leadership role**, not a prompt engineering or basic chatbot development position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of architecting, coding, deploying, and supporting **enterprise-grade GenAI platforms and production AI solutions**.

## Key Responsibilities

* Design and build enterprise-scale GenAI applications using **LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and orchestration frameworks**.
* Develop production AI solutions including **chatbots, copilots, document intelligence, summarization, and information extraction**.
* Build and deploy scalable AI applications using **Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms**.
* Implement solutions using **LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI, Hugging Face**, and vector databases.
* Design **RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, and multi-agent architectures**.
* Develop CI/CD pipelines and establish production readiness, observability, security, and AI governance.
* Lead technical architecture, conduct design/code reviews, and establish enterprise GenAI engineering best practices.
* Mentor engineering teams while remaining actively involved in hands-on development and technical problem solving.
* Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable GenAI solutions.

## Required Skills

* **15+ years** of overall software engineering experience.
* **4+ years of hands-on Generative AI experience**.
* Strong expertise in **Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, and cloud-native application development**.
* Hands-on experience with one or more of:

  * OpenAI
  * Claude
  * Gemini
  * Hugging Face
  * LangChain
  * LangGraph
  * CrewAI
* Strong knowledge of:

  * LLMs
  * RAG
  * Embeddings
  * Vector Databases
  * Prompt Engineering
  * AI Agents / Multi-Agent Systems
* Strong experience with **Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD**.
* Experience with **AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform**.
* Proven experience taking GenAI solutions from **POC through production deployment**.
* Excellent architecture, communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience architecting **enterprise GenAI platforms**.
* Experience with **PyTorch or TensorFlow**.
* Knowledge of **AI governance, security, responsible AI, and model observability**.
* Experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available AI platforms.
* Prior experience working as a **Principal Engineer, GenAI Architect, AI Lead, or Technical Lead**.

## Important Note

This position requires a **very senior, hands-on GenAI Technical Lead / Principal Engineer**. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to **prompt engineering, basic chatbot development, or non-production GenAI experimentation will not be a strong fit**.

Local New York candidates are strongly preferred due to the 2–3 days onsite requirement.
