Job Details

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Develop CNC programs from scratch using Siemens NX (Unigraphics) for complex aerospace components
Build and optimize 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC programs and toolpaths
Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T to drive manufacturing strategy
Drive tooling selection, speeds and feeds, and overall cutting strategy
Run simulation, prove-outs, and shop-floor troubleshooting
Improve cycle time and overall machining efficiency
Create setup sheets and process documentation
Support and uphold AS9100 aerospace quality standards
Partner with engineering and operations to take components from concept through production

Qualifications Needed

Education / Background: Technical degree, certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience in CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience (3-axis at minimum), with a focus on building programs from scratch - not just editing existing ones
Required: Hands-on Siemens NX (Unigraphics) CAM programming experience
Strong background in GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and machining behavior (not just toolpaths)
Proven ability to develop machining strategies, run simulations, and lead prove-outs on the shop floor
Preferred: 5-axis CNC programming, aerospace manufacturing experience, Mastercam or AutoCAD exposure, Lean / continuous improvement background, ERP/MRP system experience
Must be able to work onsite in Sidney, OH
