Associate Data Scientist II

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Associate Data Scientist II in Brentwood, MO.

Overview:
This role focuses on using data to help the business make smarter decisions. The position works across multiple departments to analyze information, identify trends, and build tools that improve performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze data from areas such as sales, finance, operations, and supply chain to uncover insights and trends
* Develop models and tools that help predict outcomes (e.g., demand, costs, or performance)
* Partner with business teams to understand challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
* Deliver clear, actionable insights that support better decision-making
* Build and maintain analytics or AI-driven solutions that can be used by a wide range of stakeholders
* Continuously improve forecasts, reporting, and recommendations based on new data
* Stay current on new analytics and technology approaches and help introduce them where valuable

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative subject required, advanced degree preferred
* 3+ years of experience with collaborative data science or data analytic projects with technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving and communicating tangible business value succinctly
* Functional experience in an object-oriented programming language (Python 3.x preferred)
* Knowledge of software design (libraries, classes, functions), testing (logging, debugging), and versioning (Git, continuous deployment)
* Experience with machine learning platforms and cloud computing (e.g., Microsoft Azure ML (preferred), Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex AI)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
* Ability to work with large sets of data and translate findings into business insights
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
