Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior / Lead Automation & Performance Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL. This is a Level 4 role requiring deep expertise in test automation, performance engineering, and CI/CD integration.

The ideal candidate will lead automation strategy, design scalable test frameworks, and drive performance validation across enterprise-level applications in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, and SmartSpec
Develop and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs
Drive performance testing initiatives including strategy, execution, and analysis
Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
Identify bottlenecks and performance issues across systems and applications
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior automation engineers
Establish best practices for test automation and performance engineering
Generate detailed test reports and present findings to stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

12+ years of experience in Automation and Performance Engineering
Strong hands-on expertise with:

Cypress
Selenium
SmartSpec
Test Automation Framework Design
Performance Testing tools and methodologies

Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience working in enterprise-level environments
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services or banking environments
Exposure to large-scale distributed systems
Experience mentoring or leading automation teams
