Job Description
Project Manager 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Project Manager 3, Project Management and the specifications outlined in this document
8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Certification in Project Management by a recognized project management organization or Scrum Master a plus.
Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications

10 Years Required
• Skilled in managing project implementations across large organizations, including developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans
• Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts, devise solutions to problems, and prepare concise reports
• Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, ensuring business requirements are translated into technical specifications, and facilitating the SDLC process
• Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders with strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to summarize and escalate issues appropriately, provide weekly status updates, and conduct project team meetings
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8 Years Required
• Experience with Agile methodology, tracking development progress, and ensuring project assignments align with timelines
• Agile experience managing feature-driven sprints
• Experience leading and driving multi-million dollar software and IT projects
Preferred
• Experience implementing and using Agile methodologies and best practices for one or more HHS Agencies
• Prior experience in Healthcare or Public Health
• PMP Certification
Work Hours and Location
• Services will be provided during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) excluding Texas state holidays
• Primary work location: 701 W 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and 2 days remote
• Local candidates only will be accepted for this position
• Any travel, per diem, parking, or living expenses will be the responsibility of the worker/vendor
• Worker may be required to work remotely at HHSC discretion up to 100%
• Worker may be required to work outside normal business hours including weekends or evenings if requested
