{"description": "This senior leadership position drives engineering excellence across a food and beverage manufacturing facility. You'll lead cross-functional collaboration between Maintenance, EH&S, Process, Controls, and Reliability Engineering teams, managing everything from daily operations to major facility expansions.

Main role responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all engineering projects, from planning through execution, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime and boost productivity
  • Manage CapEx, training, and consulting budgets
  • Oversee new equipment contracts and engineering drawing controls
  • Coordinate planned shutdowns and facility renovations with maintenance teams
  • Support safety programs including LOTO and startup/shutdown procedures
  • Establish and enforce engineering policies, standards, and food safety compliance (SQF)
Critical Role Requirements
Aseptic Processing Experience - Candidates must bring hands-on experience with aseptic processing environments. This is non-negotiable given the nature of the facility and its food safety obligations.
Controls Engineering & Automation Knowledge - A solid understanding of controls engineering, automation systems, and the ability to read and create P&IDs is essential to managing facility improvements and integrating new technologies effectively.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical) - required
  • MBA - preferred
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5-7 years managing capital projects, budgets, and timelines
Additional Skills
  • Knowledge of FDA, PMO, and GMP standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, ERP/CRM, and MES systems
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on loss reduction
