Hello, I hope you are doing well. We have an urgent Remote Part-Time opportunity for a Programmer/Analyst III supporting the Chicago Accessible Intersection Navigation (CAIN) initiative. Please Note: We are not looking for a traditional Mobile Developer. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Backend API Development, RESTful Services, and System Integration within cross-platform mobile environments. Experience with GPS-related functionality is highly preferred. Position Details Role: Programmer/Analyst III Location: Remote (Part-Time) Duration: 6-Month Contract Expected Hours July: ~1314 hrs/week August: ~13 hrs/week September: ~27 hrs/week October: ~19 hrs/week November: ~30 hrs/week December: ~42 hrs/week January: ~13 hrs/week (Partial Month) Key Responsibilities Develop and support cross-platform mobile applications (iOS/Android) using Ionic Framework. Design, develop, and integrate Backend APIs and RESTful Services. Support system integrations with external platforms. Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), QA, and UAT activities. Implement application enhancements, performance optimization, and security improvements. Support cloud deployments and production releases. Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment. Required Skills Strong experience in Backend API Development and RESTful Services. System Integration experience. Cross-platform mobile application development (Ionic preferred). Experience with iOS and Android applications. Knowledge of QA, testing, and defect remediation. Understanding of OWASP security standards and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Agile/Scrum experience. Preferred Skills GPS-related application development. Traffic Management Systems, SPaT Data, or Intelligent Transportation Systems. Cloud deployment and CI/CD experience. Accessibility-focused application development.
