Job Overview
We are seeking a Network Automation Engineer to design and build scalable automation solutions for a telecom environment using an eNMS (eNetwork Management System) platform.
This role focuses on workflow-driven automation, reducing manual operations, enabling self-healing networks, and improving operational efficiency across large-scale telecom infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop network automation workflows using eNMS
Build automation solutions using:
Python scripts
Ansible playbooks
REST APIs
Implement:
Configuration backups & rollback systems
Network audits & compliance checks
Automated OS/device upgrades
Develop auto-remediation and self-healing capabilities
Create device discovery and network topology visualization
Integrate automation workflows with tools like Splunk, KPI systems
Develop and maintain RBAC security (LDAP/Active Directory integration)
Enhance job scheduling systems using APScheduler / cron-based workflows
Build and maintain REST/OpenAPI services
Agile & Development Responsibilities
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies
Create:
Design documents
Test plans & test scripts
Deployment documentation
Perform:
Unit testing & functional testing
Code reviews & debugging
Deploy solutions across:
Non-production environments
Production environments (post-UAT)
Technical Skills Required
Python (Flask, RESTful APIs)
SQLAlchemy
Gunicorn
JavaScript (AJAX)
Network Automation Tools:
Netmiko
NAPALM
Ansible
Scheduling: APScheduler, Cron
API Development: Swagger / OpenAPI
Version Control: Git
Advanced / Nice-to-Have Skills
eNMS platform experience
Cluster-based architectures:
Master-master replication
Distributed systems
Telecom / Network Operations experience
Knowledge of:
SSH, NETCONF, REST protocols
Experience with:
Splunk or similar monitoring tools
Key Deliverables
Fully functional, production-ready automation code
Detailed design documentation
Test plans, scripts, and reports
Deployment & operational documentation
Scalable, high-availability automation solutions
