Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role combines Agile team facilitation with strong delivery governance, execution tracking, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will enable Agile teams while also providing structured oversight, reporting, and alignment across broader program objectives within a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities: - Drive end-to-end delivery execution across Agile teams supporting enterprise banking platforms
- Ensure alignment between Agile delivery and broader program objectives, milestones, and governance standards
- Support portfolio-level visibility into delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and financials
- Facilitate operational rigor across technology initiatives (status tracking, reporting, controls, audit readiness)
- Enable scalable Agile practices while maintaining compliance with regulatory and enterprise controls
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement)
- Track sprint and program-level progress against defined milestones and deliverables
- Maintain centralized reporting and dashboards (status, risks, dependencies, KPIs, financial tracking)
- Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve impediments and delivery risks
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of progress to senior stakeholders
- Manage cross-team dependencies and integration points in complex environments
- Support capacity planning, resource alignment, and delivery forecasting
- Uphold governance standards: documentation, audit readiness, compliance adherence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery processes and tooling
Requirements: - 5+ years in Agile delivery, Scrum Master, or structured execution roles
- Strong proficiency with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban; SAFe preferred)
- Experience with delivery tracking, reporting, and governance frameworks
- Advanced use of Jira, Confluence, and reporting/dashboard tools
- Demonstrated experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations
- Experience supporting financial tracking, budgeting awareness, or resource planning
- Strong understanding of SDLC and enterprise technology delivery
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations in financial services
- Experience in large-scale financial institutions or highly regulated industries
- Operates seamlessly between team-level execution and program-level oversight
- Brings strong structure, discipline, and transparency to delivery environments
- Anticipates risks and proactively implements mitigation strategies
- Drives accountability across teams without formal authority
- Communicates effectively with executives, translating technical progress into business impact
- Elevates team performance while maintaining governance rigor
- Demonstrates ownership of outcomes, not just processes
- Comfortable managing both Agile dynamics and structured reporting expectations
Desired skills: - SAFe, Scrum Master certifications (CSM, PSM)
- Exposure to portfolio governance, reporting cadences, and executive dashboards
- Familiarity with financial tracking, forecasting, and cost oversight
- Experience working in multi-team or program-level delivery environments
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices
- Experience coordinating global/distributed teams
Pay range: $68.38 - $76.38 per hour
