Job Title: Technical Business Analyst / Testing Analyst (Mortgage & HELOC)
Location: Remote
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst / Testing Analyst with strong experience in the Mortgage domain, particularly Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) products. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of business analysis and testing expertise, be technically proficient with JIRA, and have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for mortgage and HELOC initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams to clarify requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
  • Perform functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Develop and execute test cases, document test results, and track defects using JIRA.
  • Validate business requirements against implemented solutions and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate defect triage, issue resolution, and regression testing.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies effectively with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst / Testing Analyst.
  • Strong experience in the Mortgage Lending domain.
  • Good understanding of HELOC (Home Equity Line of Credit) products and related business processes.
  • Experience writing business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA for requirement management, defect tracking, and Agile project management.
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with mortgage servicing or loan origination systems (LOS).
  • Knowledge of SQL for data validation is a plus.
  • Experience with API testing or integration testing.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
  • Banking or financial services experience is highly preferred.
