Job Description

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Network Test Engineer to lead testing and qualification for our network devices and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for carrier-grade networking equipment, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for networking equipment and features.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot complex multi-vendor networking lab environments that mimic live networks.
- Validate performance, scalability, and reliability of service provider networking solutions.
- Perform traffic generation and analysis using tools such as Ixia/Keysight and OTDR.
- Collaborate closely with Network Engineering, QA, and operations teams to identify, debug, and resolve complex issues.
- Document test cases, results, and defects with high clarity and detail.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Carrier-grade telecom equipment testing and qualification including router and switches
- Proven experience with wireless technologies, focusing on mmWave and E-band point-to-point technologies
- Solid understanding of key radio frequency performance indicators including Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Bit Error Rate (BER), and Receive Signal Level (RSL)
- Strong hands-on knowledge of L2/L3 protocols: Ethernet, VLANs, IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS
- Demonstrated ability to set up, configure, and troubleshoot complex, large-scale network environments across multi-vendor platforms.
- Hands-on experience with traffic generators and analyzers (e.g., Ixia/Keysight, OTDR).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- PON testing experience highly desirable

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)
- Proficiency in Python for test automation (Pytest or similar frameworks).
- Working knowledge of ESM, OLT, PON, and ONT testing.
- Knowledge of Linux-based test environments and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
- Familiarity with OSS and BSS system.

Key Pointers 

Please pre-screen against these must-haves before submitting a profile:

1. Carrier-grade equipment testing — 7+ years testing/qualifying carrier-grade routers, switches, or similar telecom infrastructure (not enterprise/consumer gear).
2. mmWave & E-band point-to-point — hands-on experience with PtP wireless radio links specifically, not general 5G/cellular RF.
3. RF KPIs — practical, hands-on measurement of SNR, BER, and RSL against a link budget.
4. L2/L3 protocol testing — Ethernet, VLANs, IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS — actually configuring/validating these on network gear.
5. Multi-vendor lab build-out — setting up, cabling, and troubleshooting labs that mirror live carrier networks.
6. Traffic generation & analysis — Ixia/Keysight specifically, plus OTDR for fiber link testing.
7. PON testing (highly desirable) — OLT/ONT bring-up and validation.

Nice-to-have differentiators: Python test automation (Pytest), Linux/shell scripting, CI/CD integration, OSS/BSS familiarity.
