THE ROLE:Join a team building the next generation of AI-powered development platforms and agent-based systems. As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will lead the evolution of our core agent orchestration platform, helping scale secure, reliable, and observable AI workflows used across multiple users and environments. Working across backend services, frontend experiences, infrastructure, and developer tooling, you will drive architecture decisions, deliver production-ready solutions, and help shape the foundation for future AI capabilities at AMD.

You combine strong software engineering fundamentals with a customer-focused mindset, collaborate effectively across disciplines, and bring a passion for building high-quality systems that deliver measurable impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Architect and enhance agent orchestration and runtime platforms with provider-agnostic integrations across AI ecosystems.
- Build reliable, scalable workflow execution capabilities, including concurrency, checkpointing, recovery, and lifecycle management.
- Develop secure multi-user environments that protect data, artifacts, and workspace isolation.
- Improve platform observability through structured logging, metrics, performance monitoring, and cost tracking.
- Evolve backend services and user-facing experiences, including APIs, file management, artifact delivery, and error handling.
- Lead engineering excellence through CI/CD automation, testing, documentation, release management, and technical design leadership.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:- Experience building AI/LLM applications, agent frameworks, workflow orchestration systems, or model-provider abstractions.
- Strong background developing backend platforms using FastAPI, REST APIs, streaming technologies, and secure authentication models.
- Proficiency working across modern web technologies, including TypeScript, frontend frameworks, and API/UI integrations.
- Experience designing scalable, observable, and resilient distributed systems in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, automated testing, code quality tooling, and release processes.
- Familiarity with AI observability, telemetry, developer platforms, multi-repository workflows, or Git submodule management.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Advanced degree or relevant industry certifications are a plus.
