GovCIO is currently hiring a Journeyman System Administrator to design, develop, and document innovative Microsoft 365 solutions within the U.S. Coast Guard's existing infrastructure. This position will be located in Alexandria, VA and will be a hybrid remote role.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Responsibilities
The System Administrator will provide expert-level support focused on enhancing collaboration, automating business processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
- Microsoft 365 Solution Development: Design, develop, and document solutions leveraging SharePoint, Teams, and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Data Integration & Visualization: Use the Power Platform to extract, consolidate, transform, and visualize data from disparate sources for organizational reporting and analytics.
- Workflow Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and streamline business processes using Power Automate and Power Apps.
- SharePoint Administration: Establish and maintain SharePoint sites optimized for reporting, activity tracking, and efficient information dissemination.
- Collaboration Enablement: Configure and manage Microsoft Teams environments to support secure and effective communication across the organization.
- Documentation & Governance: Develop technical documentation for solutions, workflows, and governance standards to ensure compliance and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's with 2-5 years of system administration experience (or commensurate experience)
- Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and solution development.
- Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance.
- Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, SharePoint, or Microsoft 365 (preferred).
Required Skills and Experience- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of workflow automation, data integration, and dashboard development.
- Ability to design and maintain SharePoint sites for organizational reporting and collaboration.
- Proficiency in data transformation and visualization using Power BI.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- S. Coast Guard or federal agency experience highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft security and compliance features.
- Experience with Power Platform governance and environment management.
- Knowledge of data lifecycle management and best practices for enterprise collaboration tools.
