About the Role
As a Runtime Security – Cortex Cloud Consultant, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud security solutions for enterprise clients. You’ll leverage hands‑on experience across Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS to build secure, scalable environments using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM templates, and Google Cloud Platform Deployment Manager.
In this role, you’ll automate workflows through APIs, apply DevSecOps best practices, and contribute to secure architectures across networking, virtualization, and identity management. Your background with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools will support the delivery of efficient, security‑focused pipelines.
This is both a technical and customer‑facing position. You will lead client engagements, communicate with stakeholders at all levels, and ensure solutions align with industry standards. Success in this role requires strong teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments.
Required Skills
- Hands‑on experience with major public cloud platforms, including Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS
- Proficiency with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, or Google Cloud Platform Deployment Manager
- Strong understanding of both Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience automating workflows and integrations using APIs
- Solid knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, protocols, and cloud‑focused security practices
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC), and cloud data security principles
- Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts and the ability to implement them in real‑world environments
- Experience with cloud networking, connectivity, network security, virtualization, and general cloud computing models
- Basic understanding of industry compliance standards and best practices (e.g., PCI‑DSS, HIPAA, CIS Benchmarks)
- Expertise with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, GitLab, Chef, Ansible, or OpenShift
- Basic understanding of Single Sign‑On and identity provider tools (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, Google, OneLogin)
- Proven ability to deliver complex solutions in large customer environments, either independently or as a team lead
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
Bonus Experience
- Background in Infrastructure‑as‑Code tooling and best practices
- Advanced experience with container orchestration platforms, especially Kubernetes and Docker
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, GitLab, Chef, Ansible, or OpenShift
- Strong Python skills, including API automation and scripting
- Familiarity with additional cloud providers, such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or Alibaba Cloud
- Working knowledge of third‑party security tools, including ServiceNow, Splunk, JIRA, Tenable, and others
Travel: Travel up to 10% - once per quarter onsite client visits and/or training as needed.
