Job Title: Project Lead (PMP Certified)

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Lead to support the planning, coordination, and execution of moderate to complex business and technology initiatives. This role is responsible for project planning, requirements gathering, business analysis, project monitoring, status reporting, and supporting the successful implementation of business solutions.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leadership, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives. This position also supports process improvement, modernization efforts, and the adoption of consistent project management practices across teams.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and must be clearly listed on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.



Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage project activities from initiation through implementation.
  • Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into actionable project deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, action item logs, and status reports.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple divisions, departments, and business units.
  • Facilitate meetings, document decisions, and track action items to ensure accountability.
  • Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and barriers, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and recommending efficiencies.
  • Maintain project documentation, dashboards, risk logs, and executive-level reports.
  • Promote communication, collaboration, and adherence to project management best practices.
  • Support organizational modernization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and within established scope.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of project coordination or project management experience.
  • Experience working on cross-functional and cross-divisional projects.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Coordinate work across multiple teams, departments, and business areas.

Stakeholder Engagement (3+ Years)

  • Build relationships, gather input, manage expectations, and support consensus among leadership, internal teams, vendors, and partners.

Communication & Facilitation (3+ Years)

  • Lead meetings, document decisions, prepare leadership updates, and present project information effectively.

Process Improvement (3+ Years)

  • Analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.

Risk & Issue Management (3+ Years)

  • Identify risks, dependencies, barriers, and delays; develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues appropriately.

Documentation & Reporting (3+ Years)

  • Maintain project documentation, dashboards, risk logs, meeting notes, and executive-level reports.

Leadership & Accountability (3+ Years)

  • Support project execution, promote accountability, and maintain project momentum.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in large organizations or public sector environments.
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with automation, AI, digital transformation, or modernization projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft collaboration and reporting tools, including:
    • Microsoft Planner
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • Microsoft Visio
    • Microsoft Power Automate
    • Microsoft Power Apps
  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled processes and automation technologies that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
