Seeking an experienced SAP FICO AI Functional Consultant with 8 to 10+ years of SAP Finance and Controlling experience for a 6-month contract role (100% Onsite in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA).
The ideal candidate will specialize in the design, configuration, and implementation of core SAP FI/CO and FI-CA modules while supporting financial process optimization and AI/automation initiatives.
Prior experience in high-tech or software industries and exposure to SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) are highly desirable.
#Key Responsibilities
FI/CO Module Configuration & Design: Lead conceptual and detailed functional designs, blueprinting, and hands-on SAP configuration across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA).
AI & Process Modernization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven tools, automated financial workflows, and analytics into core SAP FICO processes.
Full-Lifecycle Implementation: Drive requirements gathering, write detailed functional specifications for custom developments (RICEFW), perform unit and integration testing, coordinate transport management, and provide post-go-live support.
Accounting & Revenue Compliance: Apply deep accounting principles to ensure compliance across financial workflows, with nice-to-have exposure to SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting).
Stakeholder Engagement & Deliverables: Create and deliver high-impact functional presentations, leading workshops with finance leadership in high-tech sector environments.
#Required Qualifications
Core Tenure & Projects: 8 to 10+ years of SAP FICO functional experience, including 2–3 full lifecycle enterprise SAP FI implementations and 5+ years of FI-CA experience.
Functional Competencies: Advanced proficiency in SAP FI, SAP CO, FI-CA, functional design specs, custom program specifications, and accounting concepts.
Education & Domain Background: Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree (MBA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred. High-tech or software industry experience preferred.
Work Setup & Location: 100% Onsite commitment in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA.
