Job Requisition: SAP Functional Analyst Finance
Location: Remote
Duration: Long-term Contract
Role Summary
Seeking a strong SAP Functional Analyst with deep expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO/FM/GM) with the ability to analyze business requirements, design solutions, end user operational support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Procurement (Buying, Invoicing) and Travel & Expense process experiences are considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Provide functional support across SAP Finance modules (FI, CO, FM, GM)
Support core financial processes:
o General Accounting
o Asset Accounting
o Grants & Funds Management
o Bank integrations (EBS)
o Budget planning and controls
o Month-End & Year-End Close (MEC/YEC)
Support billing processes:
o Milestone billing
o Contract & expense-based billing
o Revenue recognition
Perform financial reporting, reconciliations, and data validation
Handle integrations with banking and third-party systems
Support audit and compliance requirements (e.g., 1099 reporting)
Participate in system configuration reviews, upgrades, and DR exercises
Provide incident management and root cause analysis for finance processes
Manage change requests, demand pipeline, and release cycles
Collaborate with finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Contribute to roadmap planning and process improvements
Monitor financial jobs and system processes

Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
8+ years of SAP FICO experience
Strong knowledge of financial processes
Hands-on experience with SAP configuration and support
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Reporting power user and consumer using tools like SAP Query, Power BI, BW, or other BI tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
