Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop automotive electronic hardware in accordance with project and customer requirements
* Take ownership of the entire hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production
* Perform schematic design, PCB layout review, and Gerber file generation/updates
* Select appropriate electronic components, considering cost, performance, reliability, and obsolescence management
* Prepare and maintain board design documents, design reviews, and technical reports
* Conduct design analysis including power, signal integrity, thermal, and reliability analysis
* Support and perform board-level testing and functional testing during development and validation phases
* Work closely with cross functional teams including software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams
* Ensure hardware designs comply with automotive standards and processes
* Provide technical support during debugging, failure analysis, and production ramp upInteract with global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers for requirement clarification, design reviews, and issue resolution
Skill Requirements
* 5 8 years of strong experience in automotive hardware design
* Solid understanding of the automotive hardware development lifecycle
* Strong knowledge of electronic component selection and obsolescence management
* Proven expertise in schematic design, PCB design and layout reviews, and Gerber file updates
* Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Allegro, ORCAD, Altium, Cadence, Mentor, or equivalent
* Experience in board design documentation and performing detailed design analysis
* Practical experience in board-level testing and functional testing
* Exposure to ECUs, embedded hardware, and automotive electronic componentsFamiliarity with EV, ADAS, and automotive camera interfaces such as GMSL2, FPD-Link, MIPI, etc.
* Ensure compliance with automotive standards and processes including AEC Q, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, APQP, and PPAP
* Experience working with global OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is an added advantage
