Java Developer – TechniPros
Location: Minneapolis, MN | Type: W2 Contract | Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and provide production support for Java microservices using the latest Java and Spring Boot technology stacks
- Build and maintain event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
- Develop and integrate solutions using MongoDB
- Deploy and operate applications on OpenShift (Red Hat), Kubernetes, and Docker
- Implement and enforce secure coding and compliance standards
- Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot UAT and Production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
- Clearly communicate issues, impact, root cause, and resolution during technical discussions and incident calls
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborate across teams
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall engineering excellence
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
- 2+ years of experience with MongoDB and Apache Kafka
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, and preferably OpenShift
- Proven experience supporting UAT and Production systems
- Strong ability to pinpoint issues and explain technical solutions clearly in meetings
- Excellent verbal communication skills in high-pressure, production environments
- Experience with secure coding practices in enterprise or regulated systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
- AI-assisted development and testing experience (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
