Program Manager/Delivery Lead

Role Overview

• Seeking an experienced Delivery Lead ? Cloud Migration to lead strategic cloud transformation and migration initiatives across business and technology platforms. This role will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, architecture teams, engineering organizations, infrastructure teams, and external partners to successfully plan and execute cloud migration programs.

• The ideal candidate combines strong delivery leadership with a deep understanding of cloud migration strategies, application modernization, infrastructure transformation, platform engineering, and operational readiness. This individual will drive end-to-end execution of migration programs while ensuring alignment to business objectives, risk management requirements, security standards, and modernization goals 

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Migration Strategy & Planning

• Lead enterprise-scale cloud migration initiatives from assessment through post-production stabilization.
• Develop migration roadmaps, execution strategies, dependency management plans, and release approaches.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams to define migration patterns, modernization opportunities, and target-state architecture.
• Identify candidates for rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, and replacement strategies.
• Establish migration waves, sequencing plans, success metrics, and readiness checkpoints.

Program & Delivery Leadership

• Own delivery of cloud migration programs across multiple applications, products, and business domains.
• Drive program governance, executive reporting, risk management, budget tracking, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate work across development, infrastructure, security, network, data, operations, and business teams.
• Ensure delivery milestones, quality objectives, and business commitments are achieved.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships supporting migration efforts.

Modernization & Engineering Excellence

• Promote adoption of cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps practices, automation, and platform engineering capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve scalability, resiliency, observability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive modernization initiatives that reduce technical debt and improve application performance.
• Support implementation of infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation

 Risk, Compliance & Operational Readiness

• Ensure migration activities meet organizations? security, compliance, governance, and operational standards.
• Lead go-live planning, cutover management, rollback readiness, and production support coordination.
• Proactively manage technical, operational, and business risks throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Establish operational readiness processes, monitoring, support models, and knowledge transfer plans.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

• Serve as the primary delivery leader for cloud migration initiatives.
• Present progress, challenges, decisions, and recommendations to senior technology and business leaders.
• Facilitate executive-level prioritization, dependency resolution, and escalation management.
• Build strong partnerships across business units, engineering teams, and cloud platform organizations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of technology delivery experience with at least 5 years leading cloud migration or modernization programs.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation initiatives in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology programs involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and operational transformation.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within Financial Services, Wealth Management, Retirement, Employee Benefits, or Insurance domains.
• Experience migrating enterprise applications, data platforms, middleware, and digital channels to cloud environments.
• Understanding of cloud security, compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Knowledge of application modernization, containerization, Kubernetes, microservices, and platform engineering.
• Cloud certification (Azure) preferred.
• Experience leading large-scale transformation programs with geographically distributed teams.
