Systems Engineer

Avanciers are seeking a Systems Engineer II to support enterprise Health IT modernization initiatives for the Indian Health Service (IHS). This role focuses on systems integration, healthcare interoperability, EHR modernization, cloud-based data environments, testing, and deployment support. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering teams, clinical stakeholders, cybersecurity, and vendors to deliver secure and interoperable healthcare technology solutions.

• Support integration, deployment, and sustainment of enterprise Health IT and EHR systems.
• Translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions.
• Assist with healthcare interoperability initiatives using HL7, FHIR, REST APIs, and interface technologies.
• Maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical documentation, and integration plans.
• Support cloud-based data repositories and secure data migration activities.
• Perform system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and deployment readiness activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, cybersecurity, clinical, and vendor partners.
• Track technical risks, issues, and implementation progress.

• Bachelor''''s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Health IT, EHR, or application support.
• Experience with technical documentation, system integration, testing, and SDLC.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, REST APIs, interface engines, cloud environments, and configuration management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
