Summary

Senior Network Engineer Location: Fort Worth, TX 76106 (Hybrid)

Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $94,000 – $179,000

About the Company

We are a forward-looking, growth-driven energy solutions company operating across natural gas production, midstream, power generation, and carbon capture. Guided by the values of Promise. Deliver. Repeat., we build high-performing teams that combine operational excellence with a commitment to a cleaner energy future.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to architect, implement, and support mission-critical network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in fast-moving production environments and takes pride in building networks that just work — reliably, securely, and at scale.

You''ll lead modernization initiatives, support hybrid cloud connectivity, and serve as a key technical resource across multiple field sites and office locations. You''ll work alongside a collaborative IT infrastructure team including a Network Engineer, System Administrators, Help Desk, and an Enterprise Architect — reporting directly to the IT Infrastructure Manager.

What You''ll Do

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center network infrastructure
  • Lead core network modernization projects including switch, router, firewall, and wireless refresh initiatives
  • Architect highly available and redundant network designs using vPC, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, and dynamic routing protocols
  • Configure and optimize routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static route redistribution
  • Design and support hub-and-spoke, SD-WAN, and hybrid cloud architectures
  • Support MPLS, DIA, Metro-E, ExpressRoute, VPN, microwave backhaul, and wireless point-to-point solutions
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms
  • Design, implement, and support Palo Alto firewall infrastructure and network segmentation
  • Configure and maintain site-to-site and remote access VPNs (IPSec/SSL) with MFA integrations
  • Design and support enterprise and high-density wireless networks with secure authentication
  • Implement and manage cloud networking in AWS (primary) and Azure — transit gateways, VPCs/VNets, peering, and hybrid connectivity
  • Monitor network health via SolarWinds, Meraki Dashboard, Aruba Central, and CloudWatch
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex, multi-vendor network incidents
  • Participate in on-call rotations and maintain minimal downtime in production environments
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational standards
  • Work with telecom carriers and vendors to provision and manage circuits
  • Evaluate new technologies to improve performance, security, and cost efficiency
  • Provide hands-on support at field sites, including occasional travel to swap equipment and resolve issues

What You Bring

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or administration
  • Cisco CCNP and CCNA (required or strongly preferred)
  • Deep expertise in routing, switching, wireless, and data center technologies
  • Heavy hands-on experience with SD-WAN
  • Strong understanding of firewall infrastructure, network segmentation, DMZ design, and the Purdue Model (OT/IT separation)
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud networking, especially AWS (transit gateways, firewalls, DMZs)
  • Experience with VPN solutions (IPSec/SSL) and MFA integrations
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-vendor environments
  • Willingness to perform hands-on field work across multiple locations
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred

  • Experience in the oil & gas or energy industry
  • Familiarity with Unifi switching environments
  • AWS or Azure cloud networking certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent)

Location & Travel

Primary location: Fort Worth, TX 76106 (Hybrid). Denver, CO also considered. Travel expected at 25–40% to support field sites, the Denver office, and locations in Pennsylvania and Houston.

Compensation

$94,000 – $179,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
