Job Overview: The Energy Engineer will join a rapidly growing organization to work with industrial and commercial customers participating in various energy efficiency programs. The role involves identifying and evaluating energy-saving projects, ensuring program compliance, and determining potential incentives. The engineer will analyze system upgrades, communicate energy and economic impacts, and collaborate with stakeholders. Responsibilities include data collection, energy modeling, report writing, and presenting findings. This position requires strong communication skills to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities: - Conduct energy audits and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency.
- Evaluate mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, pumps, motors, and fans.
- Interpret and analyze mechanical and electrical drawings, equipment nameplate data, and manufacturer specifications.
- Collect and analyze energy consumption data, identifying trends and potential savings.
- Assist in developing and implementing energy-efficient solutions for industrial and commercial facilities.
- Perform retro commissioning activities to optimize existing building systems and equipment performance.
- Prepare well-organized reports and analyses.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal teams and clients.
- Support project management by tracking budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in energy efficiency.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in energy efficiency or industrial systems.
- Experience in retro commissioning of building systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in HVAC, motors, lighting, and industrial equipment.
- Strong data analysis skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- CEM and/or CMVP certifications preferred.
Pay Range: $80,000 to $125,000 / Yearly with Benefits
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
