Position Summary
CVS Health has a rich set of healthcare data of more than 150 million individuals and provides the best foundation for any ambitious data engineer to work on billions of records of healthcare data. The Associate Data Engineer will design and develop highly scalable and extensible data platforms including but not limited to RDBMS / Big Data / Cloud, which enables industrializing collection, storage, modeling, and analysis of massive data sets from heterogeneous channels. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, databases, and data processing systems. Optimizes data workflows, ensures data quality, and supports data-related initiatives to enable effective data-driven decision-making.

Compiles data from different sources and systems, ensuring compatibility and consistency, and works with APIs, connectors, and cloud services to build software applications

Conducts data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

Compiles data engineering processes, workflows, and systems for reference and knowledge sharing purposes.

Builds efficient and scalable data pipelines.

Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms.

Actively contributes to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects, by sharing ideas, providing feedback, and contributing to the overall goals and objectives of the team.

Assists team members with tasks, timelines, and deliverables, including collaborating on projects, sharing information, and ensuring effective communication within the team.

Required Qualifications

Understanding of programming languages like R, Python, Node.JS and SQL
Understanding of cloud technologies - Azure, Google Cloud Platform or AWS

Understanding of LLMs and AI Agents

Preferred Qualifications
Strong problem solving skills

Experience working with stakeholders

Experience working in teams

Track record of delivering results

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Math, or related field;

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$61,800.00 - $148,320.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
