Sr. Oracle APEX Developer (Contract)

Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Oracle APEX Developer for a remote contract for our client in the eastern time zone. The contract is starting off 3-6-months, with likely extensions. 

Position focuses on Oracle APEX and PL/SQL development to build and enhance internal applications and upcoming customer-facing satellite applications that extend the client’s ERP system (Quantum). The role supports integrations, automation projects in Google Cloud Platform, and will help deliver REST API-driven workflows and improved user interfaces. The successful candidate will quickly contribute to live projects and enable faster delivery of business-facing automations.

Responsibilities:

·  Develop new and enhance existing Oracle APEX applications.

·  Write and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, and database queries.

·  Implement front-end UI using APEX themes, templates, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

·  Build and consume REST APIs and integrate systems using integration platforms and custom connectors.

·  Collaborate with project managers, super users, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver phased releases.

·  Support Google Cloud Platform-based automation workflows and assist with Python scripts for cloud integrations.

·  Troubleshoot production issues, perform deployments, and participate in off-hours support as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

· 7+ years of web/ application development.

· 4+ years of Oracle APEX.

·  Strong PL/SQL and Oracle database development experience.

·  Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and APEX themes/ templates.

·  Experience building and integrating REST APIs and working with integration tools.

·  Enterprise application development experience and familiarity with ERP satellite application patterns.

Plusses:

·  Experience with React, Angular, or other SPA frameworks.

·  Experience with integration platforms such as Boomi or Mercator.

·  Exposure to Snowflake and executing queries provided by data architects.

·  Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Python for automation tasks.

·  Performance tuning and database optimization experience.
