Web Designer (On-site)
Required Skills and Experience
* A minimum of 3 years of combined IT and graphic design experience. Able to understand HTML and have a strong working knowledge of Web generators and photographic libraries. Possesses a portfolio of websites or solutions.
* Experience in human factors engineering, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing for Web and client-based applications, as well as metrics setting and monitoring for assessing the usability of the Web application.
* Experience improving the usability, usefulness, and desirability of Web sites in collaboration with Graphic Designers, Product Managers, Engineering Staff, and other Web Designers.
* Experience performing usability tests, providing design prototypes, and providing ad hoc user interface consulting.
* Experience in requirements gathering and articulation of user interface issues including development of page/site prototypes.
* Experience in user-centered design methodology, user scenarios, usability testing, storyboarding, paper, and interactive prototypes.
* Experience in integrating design into program rules and system architecture, and creating innovative approaches to improving the end-user experience.
* Experience in graphic applications, HTML development tools, and other applicable authoring tools, Web production, and front-end development using programming and scripting languages.
* Experience in platform/browser compatibility and basic usability issues.
* Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Able to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida.
* 5 or more years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer.
