Role Overview
This role exists to strengthen cost accuracy, improve labor standards, and ensure quoting precision across stamping and e-coating operations. The Industrial Engineer will conduct detailed time studies, build and validate cost models, support customer quoting, and drive measurable operational improvements.
Location: Sidney, OH | Onsite | Minimal travel
Core Responsibilities & Required Experience
This position blends analytical industrial engineering with hands-on plant engagement. The ideal candidate understands metal manufacturing environments and can translate floor-level observations into accurate cost models and actionable process improvements.
What You Will Drive
Lead full-cycle time studies and establish labor standards
Build and maintain detailed cost models for new and existing programs
Support cost estimating and customer quotation development
Validate quote assumptions against real production performance
Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve throughput and reduce cost
Identify automation, tooling, and equipment improvement opportunities
Provide leadership-level reporting on cost performance and efficiency metrics
What You Bring
5-10+ years of Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Cost Engineering experience
Strong expertise in time studies, work measurement, and labor modeling
Proven background in cost modeling and cost estimating within manufacturing
Experience leading projects and influencing cross-functional teams
Exposure to metal stamping press operations and/or e-coating highly preferred
Lean / Continuous Improvement experience beneficial but not required
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline preferred
This role may be structured at the Industrial Engineer or Senior Industrial Engineer level depending on depth of experience.
