Job Description: Baker Tilly is seeking a Sr. Associate, Data Governance to join our Data Governance team within Data Analytics. This role is ideal for a multi-faceted data professional who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. The Sr.Associate will support governance policy development, coordinate across data domains, partner with technical teams on master data management initiatives, and work with system owners to implement data quality rules and controls. This role blends documentation, facilitation, data coordination, and hands-on governance execution. Cross-Domain Coordination - 30% - Partner with data domain leads (e.g., client, finance, HR, operational data) to align on definitions, ownership, and standards
- Help coordinate governance activities across business and technical stakeholders
- Support data stewardship engagement and domain working groups
- Track action items, decisions, and progress across governance initiatives
Data Quality Implementation - 40% - Partner with system owners to define and implement data quality rules, controls, and monitoring processes
- Help identify data quality gaps and coordinate remediation efforts
- Support root cause analysis for recurring data issues
- Document data quality metrics and reporting processes
Governance Policy & Documentation - 30% - Contribute to the development and maintenance of data and AI governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Facilitate working sessions and document decisions, frameworks, and ownership models
- Maintain governance artifacts such as decision logs, data ownership matrices, and RACI models
- Support change management and communication efforts related to governance initiatives
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field required
- 2-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, business analysis, analytics, or related roles
- Exposure to data quality, master data management, or enterprise data initiatives
- Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience in a consulting or professional services environment
- Experience supporting MDM initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to document requirements, policies, and decisions clearly
- Strong facilitation and consensus-building skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process improvement
- Ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with data integration or data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Boomi, or similar tools)
The pay rate range for this job position is $74,200 to $148,230. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
