HVAC & Plumbing Service Manager to lead our service operations and help drive the continued growth of our team.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands the service business from both sides -
leading technicians and working in the field. The ideal candidate has previous management experience along with a strong technical background in HVAC and/or plumbing.
What You'll Do- Lead, coach, and hold HVAC and plumbing service technicians accountable for performance
- Manage day-to-day service department operations
- Support technicians with technical troubleshooting and difficult service calls
- Monitor technician productivity, revenue, average ticket, callbacks, close rates, and other key performance indicators
- Conduct regular technician meetings, training, coaching, and performance reviews
- Ensure technicians provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with homeowners
- Help develop technicians\' technical, communication, and sales skills
- Review service calls and identify opportunities to improve performance
- Work closely with dispatch and office staff to maintain efficient scheduling and workflow
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new technicians
- Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards are consistently followed
- Address customer concerns and assist with escalated situations when necessary
- Help control labor, materials, warranty work, callbacks, and other service department expenses
- Maintain a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and customer service
- Work with company leadership to achieve department revenue and profitability goals
What We're Looking ForRequired:- Previous HVAC and/or plumbing service management experience
- Previous hands-on technician experience
- Strong understanding of residential service operations
- Proven ability to lead and hold technicians accountable
- Strong technical troubleshooting knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to coach technicians on both technical performance and customer communication
- Comfortable reviewing KPIs and using performance data to manage the department
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver\'s license
Preferred:- Experience managing both HVAC and plumbing service operations
- ServiceTitan or similar field-service software experience
- Experience managing department revenue, labor, budgets, and profitability
- Experience recruiting, training, and developing service technicians
Compensation$70,000-$80,000 base salary annually, based on experience and qualifications.
