Project Manager (Exp-8+Years) with PMP and Banking Domain-Onsite-Full time

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with 8+ years of project management experience, a valid PMP certification, and strong experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain.

The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder management, planning, risk management, budgeting, resource coordination, and ensuring projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, quality, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end technology/business projects within the banking and financial services domain.

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and success criteria.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and status reports.

• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, and dependencies.

• Coordinate with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and senior management.

• Drive project execution from initiation through planning, implementation, delivery, and closure.

• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.

• Establish appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.

• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

• Manage project change requests and ensure proper impact assessment and approval.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Development, QA, Business Analysts, Infrastructure, Security, Data, and Operations.

• Ensure adherence to organizational project management methodologies, governance, and compliance standards.

• Manage vendor relationships and third-party dependencies where applicable.

• Facilitate project meetings, steering committee meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder discussions.

• Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality and regulatory requirements.

• Track KPIs, project health, milestones, financials, and resource utilization.

• Resolve project-level conflicts and escalate critical issues appropriately.

• Ensure proper project documentation, knowledge transfer, and project closure.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant Project Management experience.

• PMP certification is mandatory/preferred.

• Strong experience working in the Banking/Financial Services domain.

• Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and SDLC.

• Excellent project planning, scheduling, and execution skills.

• Strong stakeholder and senior management communication skills.

• Experience with Risk, Issue, Action, and Dependency (RAID) management.

• Strong change management and scope management experience.

• Experience with project budgeting, resource planning, and financial tracking.

• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing large-scale banking transformation or digital banking initiatives.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum and/or SAFe environments.

• Scrum Master or Agile certification is a plus.

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Experience managing external vendors and technology partners.

• Understanding of banking regulations, security, data privacy, and compliance requirements.

• Experience working with cloud, APIs, microservices, data platforms, or modern banking technologies is a plus.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

• PMP certification required/preferred.
