The Senior Business Analyst supports mission critical programs by analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and translating business needs into clear functional and technical requirements. This role works independently with stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to ensure solutions align with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze business processes, workflows, and systems to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and system requirements.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Develop functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Assist in defining acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing activities.
  • Provide analytical support throughout the system development life cycle.
  • Communicate effectively with program leadership regarding requirements status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • MA or MS degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience performing business analysis activities in support of IT or software development programs.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting complex business and system requirements.
  • Background check required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting enterprise or government IT programs.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum based development environments.
  • Experience working closely with application development and architecture teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently on high visibility or mission critical program activities.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
