Kafka Engineer with
one of our large Banking clients.
Location: Remote, EST Hours
Pay range: $80-85+/HR
Contract Length: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Note: We are unable to consider C2C or third-party submissions.
Required Skills- 5+ years engineering experience with Kafka in enterprise environments (preferred: banking or regulated industries).
- Hands-on with observability platforms (metrics, tracing, logs, alerting).
- Strong knowledge of secure data streaming patterns, governance models, and secrets/cert management.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, SonarQube, automation for platform deployments.
- Strong understanding of modern middleware/integration patterns.
Nice-to-Haves- Experience with API gateways (Layer7, Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, etc.)
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures beyond Kafka (schema registries, replay models, auditability).
