Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems & Server Admin migration engineer to join our dynamic IT M&A Team. The candidate will be part of a larger team but will be expected to work on their own on most projects. The core responsibilities will be to ensure ownership and successful execution of complex data migrations. The candidate should be proficient in using, creating and fault finding Robocopy scripts and Excel formulas. The process will be owned from end to end, start with due diligence, then discovery and planning through to execution and post migration support. 

·       Publishing support documentation to assist IT colleagues in following defined IT processes.  

·       Ensure regular and clear updates are provided to the Systems Operations Manager and global operational teams.  

·       Providing technical solutions for BAU and project-based requests, producing high level overviews and explanations as required.  

·       Comfortable leading technical project meetings, ability to communicate effectively with nontechnical staff. 

·       Provide support, administration and implementations across Production and test environments and an understanding of how applications interact with these systems.

·       Azure fundamentals 

·       RClone

·       Robocopy

·       Scripting experience

·       On-premise datacentres/hardware 

·       VMWare 

·       Deep understanding of Active directory/Group policy 

·       Unstructured data migrations 

·       Excel Formulas. 

·       Deep understanding of Robocopy and Batch Files 

·       File server management 

·       Azure AD/Entra ID 

·       Deep understanding Windows share and NTFS Permissions 

·       SFTP Protocol 

·       Experience with copying/moving large data sets.    

·       Experience with PowerShell scripting.  

·       Basic understanding of VPN concepts. Ability to work with Network teams to gain access to remote systems.

·       Experience working with SAAS file sharing products, i.e. Dropbox, ShareFile etc.   

·       Ability to troubleshoot and remediate user access issues and other complex related issues 

·       Excellent communication skills.
